Discovering Great Joy in Cambodia

Nget is a Christian who lives in Cambodia. He used to be a Buddhist who hated other religions. His life was lonely, and full of fear and panic. Then his friend told him about Jesus Christ. Nget Saran went to a church service and was touched in his heart when the pastor said, "Jesus can save men and women from sin."

He started attending the church service every Sunday. At first, he wondered if Jesus was really the true God or if God really existed. So one day, he decided fo find out. He asked God to help him quit smoking. When he did not want a cigarette all day, Nget believed that Jesus was the true God. He made a commitment to believe in Jesus even though others might hate him. He started to tell his family and friends about Jesus.

He was hungry for the Words of God but he could not understand what he read. Then he met a Cambodian Christian who could explain the Bible, and Nget read his Bible with great joy and understanding.

Nget joined with other Christians to plant 7 new churches, but over the years, those 7 churches have have grown to over 100 churches. Nget is very happy that God is using him to reach out to the many men and women in his country who have never heard about Jesus.
